April News
UKA 8th and 9th of April
Kipper and whizz travelled to Newbury to compete in their first show of the year...
April 8th and 9th Newbury UKA
Kipper was clear in Gamblers and Steeplechase, but some twisty courses slowed her down and meant she was outside the placings. Whizz excelled himself to come 14th out of 159 in his first class the steeplechase. It was more like an intermediate jumping course and he still got a super fast time with one major twiddle in the middle whilst I rearranged my positioning!!! Well done Whizz!!!We decided to leave before the jumping, but sister Alison is going to take them tomorrow whilst we do dressage with the horses. I hope that they behave themselves for her. ...Sunday....Kipper did two clears and came 7th in Steeplechase, and Whizz..... well he needed Lindford Christie to keep up with him!
Dressage April 9th
A good day for all... Ellie and Frosty.. yes Frosty, were 2nd in Prelim 10 and 3rd in Prelim 13. Bugz was 4th for me in Prelim 13. Harmony was second in Prelim 13 and again in Novice 26!
UKA Agility Show 29th April
Whizz and Kipper did allright this weekend. Kipper did a lovely fast clear in the steeplechase to come 11th and also had a clear in the Gamblers. Whizz had a couple of spins whilst waiting for me to catch up and had 10 faults as a result each time.
Tweeseldown Intro 30th of April
We travelled to tweeseldown very early! My dressage was at 8.45 and Harmony went really nicely with only a short whinny and was very relaxed considering she was on her own. Unfortunately the judge didn't really take to her and we got a mddle score. Show jumping was shortly afterwards but a very long way away! Harmony jumped a lovely clear. Then we had to rush back to change for cross country. Harmony did a super round and was fast enough to be one of only two inside the time!. Lots of people clocked up faults in our section of 43 and we ended up 5th. A good start to our first BE! It was nice to see lots of old familiar faces and we enjoyed the good organisation!
Oman April 2006
Tom and I travelled to Oman to have a short weeks holiday. Tom was n business and managed to blag me a place too!! We travelled in luxurious first class and stayed at the Hyatt in Muscat!! My favourite part was the swimming pool which had a whirlpool type river. I topped up my tan whilst Tom inspected the Sultan's latest theatre. Mind you - it was very hot! 34 degrees and very humid. We popped in to Abu Dhabi on the way back and saw Tom's parent's nice new flat.
