Well we have got a lot on this month!!!!!
House now has a bathroom and kitchen - just got all the decorating to do!!!!
We went to Harptbury on the weekend for the SJ champs and did OK! The courses were dire - with spooky fillers, awful lines and dreadfull distances! I think the biggest fault was the triple bar into to treble folowed by an oxer on 9 yards witha black wall under it!!! $ in a row got dumped here! Luckily Smurph and Dougal managed to do their best. Dougal had a clear followed by 8 faults and Smurph had 4 faults followed by 8 faults. This is not bad considering we had to warm up in the car park!!! In the end the team came 14th. This weekend we went to the Rc windsor Qualifier - Tom and Dougal jumped whilst I built the course. They came 6th in the warm up class. Then someone decided to do an impression of the Grand National over the top score qualifier and got air lifted to hospital - this delayed the class by about three hours. THEN when Tom finally got in the ring - his stirrup fell off and it turned out the stirrup bar had broken - which meant he couldn't jump!!!! GRRRRR!!! We are now sadleless and I am told it is a major repair job - supposed to be doing dressage this week and now have no saddle!!!

Well what a busy weekend! Started on Friday with dressage qualifier at Crofton - it was pouring with rain all day and we never nearly went!!! Smurph and Harmony went well in the first class to come 3rd and 6th. Then we did the Windsor qualifier and Smurph went well enough, followed by harmony who was a complete cow bag!! She screamed all the way through the test, but still managed a fairly high mark!! In the end Smurph won with 136 followed by Harmony in 3rd with 132. Judge must have given me sympathy marks for Harmony!!!! Smurph qualified for Royal Windsor Horse Show in May!
On Saturday i went to Hereford to see my sister and also a Shetland pony for Benjy (yes he is too young still!! but found a good one!!) The only problem is that the bombproof shetland pony called Twinkle, had a friend called Oscar and yes you've guessed it - now Benjy has two ponies!!!!! But I have to say the are Lovely!!!!! So on Monday we drove to Wales to pick them up!!!
Dressage at Priory - this weekend we went to Priory and did well! Spring had a bit of a paddy in the warm up when some little person kept riding too close to her, but after that excelled herself to win one test and come third in another! Harmony also went well (despite last weeks antics!) and came second in her test!
25/4/09 We went xc schooling on sat at coombelands - smurph was Ok but preferred to go round the whole course rather than just bits! Then Sunday we did dressage at crofton. I seem to have lost all brain cells and went wrong in the first test on Smurph to come equal second which became third. Then Harmony came fourth as still a bit hyper. Then learnt the completely wrong test next and despite having it read - STILL went wrong!!! Harmony managed a fifth in this but again not completely back to form!!!
18/4/09 Oscar and Twinkle have been busy this weekend with pony rides! Mia and Allanah came to give their hooves a spin and both were very good! Mia likes Twinkle who is foot perfect, whilst Allanah enjoyed oscar's trotting!
