Frosty...

Frosty

Frosty came to us initially on loan. He was a good PC alrounder and we got him as a schoolmaster for Tom. His is a small appoloosa gelding, aged 18. Frosty is only 15.2 and quite fine. Tom is 6ft something, but despite their differences, they have got on well together!

Frosty can be quite sharp and has taught Tom to stick on! Together they have done everything, although I think it is fair to say - that Frosty still has the upper hand as far as dressage is concerned!

Eventing

Tom and Frosty Love cross country as both enjoy the speed and thrill of jumping and galloping. Unfortunately, Frosty is a little tricky in the dressage phase and can range from fair to horrendous! In 2003 They qualified for the RC national Championships at Offchurch and performed the test of their lives here. A double clear and good times on roads, tracks and steeplechase meant that they finished on their dressage score to come individual 5th and team 4th.

Showjumping

Tom and Frosty have qualified for the riding club championships on a number of years. They have been to Harptbury twice and Lincoln twice. Besides this, they have qualified and been placed for three consecutive years at the trailblazers championships. They often compete in unaffiliated classes together and are a force to be reckoned with in a jump off.

Dressage

Frosty has an aversion to dressage and is very ringcrafty. He will warm up beautifully and as soon as he enters the arena, will drop behind the bit and mess around. Tom has persevered well with him and continues to try his hardest to master the art of Frosty and dressage.
