Chase Farm 28/1/07
This weekend we went schooling to chase farm and enjoyed the dry weather and cross country jumps. Smurph was a star again and jumped everything confidently. Bugz and Tom enjoyed galloping around too!

Winter League Dressage - Hoplands
We were running rather late to this event as a major road closure meant a 15 mile diversion!! We arrived 10 minutes before Smurph's 1st test!!! OOOPS Fortunately he didn't deem to mind too much, but wasn't really ready or loosened up when we went in. He was a good boy in the sense that we performed everything accurately - but wasn't as stunning as he can be!!! We had no time before the next test - so went straight back to the warm up arena! This time he warmed up properly and was starting to go nicely. His test was much better, with only a few unsmooth parts - one being when he decided to leap the entitre length of dressage board in canter!!! This time he got a repsectable 65% and ended up about 9th or 10th out of 30. Harmony then went in for the Prelim 14, where she wasn't quite going as well as she can, due to our warm up routine again, being a little short!!! However, she must have pleased the judges as she came 1st!!! We then did the Novice 25 where she went really well- I really felt the wow factor. Unfortunately we left before the end, so I will let you know how we did. Tom was chief photographer today and got some lovely shots - well done! Meon did well today - we are now at the top of the league table!
Update - According to the website: Harmony came = 1st in prelim 14 and 3rd in Novice 25! smurph was about 11th in prelim 1.
