Area 17 SJ qualifier
The rain started as we were travelling down the M27 and didn't really stop until 4pm! This was to be a little symbolic of our day at Crofton for the Area 17 RC indoor SJ qualifier. Meon had four teams and managed to come 3rd, 4th and 7th, which considering the conditions wasn't bad! However, with a little bit of luck on the day, we could easily have qualified for the championships! Smurph jumped really well and we were especially pleased with him!
March News
Area 17 Winter league Dressage
A good, if cold day was had by all - we went quite well and got the following placings - Class one prelim 10 - Smurph was 8th. Class two Prelim 12 harmony was second - and Smurph 5th in some good company so a very pleasing result for him. harmony was a whinnying witch and could have done better thn 2nd. In class 3 the Novice30 Harmony came 4th and was again a whinnying witch but went well in some rather stunning company. Phtotos to follow soon!
Priory Dressage Championships 25/3
Apparently we qualified for these some time ago! Fortunately the organising informed us of this last week and we made some late entries! When we arrived it appeared that half of the affiliated BD circuit had done the same!! Harmony went amazingly well and Smurph did a fair test. The company we were in and the shocking judging! meant we were not placed. However it was nice to hear the professionals moaning about the glaring marking inconsistencies, as well as me!!! 2nd Class was Novice and Harmony was a star - we later found out that we came 5th! When we got back we schooled Spring - she initially lived up to her name and did her first bronco impression to date. Lets hope it is not repeated.
