Well once again it's been a late update to this month's web page!!! School is as busy as ever and the horses are getting a little neglected!!! Tom has been busy exercising what he can, but has now disappeared off to Muscat for a bit!!! We started clipping this weekend, but had an unfortunate problem with the clippers, whereby they broke down mid horse, leaving Dougal with a trendy mohican appearance! Tom had a jumping lesson on dougal (with new hairstyle) and spring, and both were good. twinkle found the whole experience very exciting and was practising her bucks / rodeo spins during the whole lesson!!!. I am looking and feeling rather like a beached whale at present, so not much horsey news from me!!! Harvest festival at school this week and then one more week until half term!
schools out!
Half term this week. Last week was a little manic to say the least. I am now on maternity leave and am trying to catch up on last minute jobs over the half term. This week we have vets and blacksmiths and lots of catching up to do, before I guess real maternity leave starts next week. School gave me a lovely send off with a surprise party and lots of lovely gifts, we finished the week off with an amazing DT workshop.
Meon Riding Club SJ
Well we went to this show last weekend. In the end we took Smurph and Spring, as Dougal had been beaten up by Smurph in the field and was a bit stiff. Spring jumped beautifully for her first ever show and time indoors! She did the clear round and then the first class, and would have been clear had some boy not jumped up on the seats right next to the jump she was jumping! Smurph went well for Tom despite little schooling or practice and came 2nd and 4th! Photos to follow shortly.
